Whistler Giant Snow Walls
Whistler's Giant Snow Walls. Go hike, walk or run the famous Giant snow walls in the spring or early summer after the ski season is over. Make your way Pika's Traverse and Matthews Traverse to see some of the largest snow banks you have ever seen. You can access there area multiple ways depending on what is open. Take the Whistler gondola up to the Round House and then hike from there. It's a steady 2km climb to the snow walls and you can continue another almost 2km to the Whistler Peak and take the Peak Chairlift back down pending the chairlift is actually open. Peak season for the walls is usually the month of June.

60 Kilometres on the Abel Tasman, New Zealand. Our journey begins with an AQUA TAXI to TOTARANUI campsite. We hike 50 km's around the Kepler Track, with an 8 year old and 11 year old. Our kids have a lot of hiking, and back country experience. We were lucky to get a visit from our little Kea buddy, walk to the summit of Mount Luxmore, and endure some rain "some people walk in the rain, others get wet. Our longest walking day was 22 k! We stayed at the Luxmore Hut, and Iris Burn Hut.

Some guy named Brooks, named after the running shoe is what I heard, wins by shooting 16 strokes below the par# used for the tournament. Steve Stricker not able to shoot final round 57 for the win leaves the Wisconsin Native wondering what if he would have one putted 12 holes that he two putted during the four rounds. His wife informs him he would have won which gives him solace to know that he has a smart wife/caddie and that neither of the entrants from Canada beat him.
This is awesome! Ha, Steve should have one putted all those holes!
I believe this course closed. Not enough people going to Cozumel to golf. I was there 20 years ago and I don't think I new that it had a golf course but I didn''t have Google Earth to fly over the island either.
Yeah, I head it closed down a few years ago. We didn't know there was a golf Course there either, until we were on the Island. I imagine not enough golfers, and maybe more development with selling property? But not sure? Have an amazing day!

@@21Swayzee 👍 .... so even a normal dispersion for an amateur can take you outside of that green. Plus the added psychological pressure of the water ... I played an imitation of that hole. (There's a golf course that has all imitation holes.) All of us got on, but I don't remember the exact distance we played. Playing the real thing is a great opportunity.
@@XB10001 it was fun, both my brothers got on, and the green is quite large...but yeah the psychological pressure got to me. Plus the hole gets backed up there so others watching. We played an imitation green in Michigan as well! Lots of fun. Eagle Eye. It's crazy we got onto sawgrass several years ago now for under 200...and now it is like over 600 for a round. Crazy!
